Ready to face the 'First Bullet'

New Delhi, October 14: Congress MPs from Telangana region today attacked Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy accusing him of adopting an "uncalled for vindictive attitude" towards the people agitating for a separate state.

Declaring that the Congress MPs will stand by Telangana people "at this critical hour", senior Congress leader K Kesava Rao said the MPs were ready to face the "first bullet" if the state government decides to "crush" the agitation of the common people and government employees from the region for a separate state.

"If any bullet the Chief Minister wants to use, if his DGP wants to use (against) any striking employees or any Telangana man, we will receive it first. Let them know that," an emotionally charged Rao told reporters here.

Criticising the state government's decision to conduct group II service commission examinations in the state on October 15, he said job seekers will face difficulties to attend it as the entire traffic in the region is collapsed due to the agitaion.

He alleged the Chief Minister is "sadistically" enjoying the plight of Telangana people and alleged the state service examinations are being held for filling the vacancies with the people from Andhra region.

"That is the intention of the Chief Minister," Rao said.

The Congress MPs also termed as "unconstituntional" Reddy's hesistance to distribute salary advances to the agitating government employees from Telangana region on the occasion of Diwali despite the request from his ministerial colleagues.

CM is bribing MLAs : KTR

‘Let there be CBI probe, I will present evidence’

The Telangana Rashtra Samithi legislator K Taraka Rama Rao on Thursday made serious accusations against Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy, stating that he had conspired against the Telangana movement and even bribed his own party MLAs to remain silent on the issue.

Addressing the media on Thursday, KTR said that he had evidence of the Chief Minister giving away Rs 25 lakh each to 13 legislators of the Congress party.

“Our party demands a CBI probe into this issue. Complete information of how much money was offered to each legislator is with me. I will hand over these documents to the investigation officials. 

Chief Minister is hell-bent on disrupting the strike as well as the separate state movement,” KTR added and demanded a CBI probe into it.

Congress party, as expected, refuted the allegations.

Lagadapati sends 'T' gifts to KCR

Congress MP from Vijayawada Lagadapati Rajagopal has forwarded a dozen books written by Telangana authors and a few CDs of films portraying the Telangana history to Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS) president K. Chandrasekhar Rao, to make his point that the movement has been ‘instigated' by dominant castes and classes to further their own vested interests.

He said in an accompanying letter to Mr. Rao, a copy of which was released to the press, the Telangana movement was the creation of ‘feudal' forces which had to forego their privileges after integration of the State. He said the 12 books and the CDs he was sending to Mr. Rao proved exploitation of the Telangana masses by the ‘doras', ‘patels' and ‘patwaris' as portrayal of those incidents were clear. The unbridled feudal exploitation of the masses was the basic feature that dominated the socio-economic life of Telangana people, he said, adding that the poor and underprivileged sections were deprived of freedom and dignity.

Political freedom

The formation of Visalandhra brought them freedom and dignity. He said in 1948, people of Telangana achieved political freedom from the Nizam while 

implementation of the Land Ceiling Act in the 70s was ‘second freedom' for them and went on to add that abolition of ‘Patel-Patwari' system in the 80s ushered in third freedom. 

The MP said prior to the formation of Andhra Pradesh, the working class in Telangana led a pathetic life that was all about oppression, agony, suffering and misery. “There is no parallel in the history of India to the Telangana Armed Struggle – the peasants' struggle against feudal oppression and slavery which claimed over 5,000 lives,” he said. 

He said Mr. Rao must read the books and get the facts straight instead of misleading people.

దిగ్విజయంగా 31 రోజులు పూర్తి చేసుకున్న సకల జనుల సమ్మెలో మరో మహత్తర ఘట్టానికి తెరలేవబోతున్నది. యావత్ తెలంగాణం రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వానికి గట్టి సవాలు విసరబోతున్నది. తెలంగాణ లక్ష్యంగా 15,16,17 తేదీల్లో నిరవధిక రైల్‌రోకోలకు రంగం సిద్ధమైంది. వాడవాడలు.. పల్లెపప్లూలూ పట్టాలపైకి రాబోతున్నాయి. అదే సమయంలో దాన్ని విచ్ఛిన్నం చేసేందుకు ప్రభుత్వమూ సమాయత్తమవుతున్నది. ఓవైపు రైల్వే శాఖ తనంతట తానుగానే భారీ సంఖ్యలో రైళ్లను రద్దు చేసుకున్నా.. పంతానికి పోతున్న ప్రభుత్వం మాత్రం.. బెదిరింపులకు దిగుతున్నది. తాజాగా డీజీపీ ఆ బాధ్యతను భుజాన వేసుకున్నారు. స్వయంగా రంగంలోకి దిగి విలేకరుల సమావేశం పెట్టి మరీ ఉద్యమాన్ని భయపెట్టే ప్రయత్నం చేశారు.

శాంతి భద్రతలు కాపాడేందుకు తనకు ప్రభుత్వం ఫుల్ పవర్స్ ఇచ్చేసిందన్న డీజీపీ దినేష్‌డ్డి.. కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం కూడా తమకు సహకరిస్తోందని చెప్పారు. రైళ్లను అడ్డుకున్నా, రైల్వే ఆస్తులకు నష్టం కలిగించినా, పట్టాల ఫిష్ ప్లేట్లు తొలగించినా రైల్వే చట్టం ప్రకారం కేసులు నమోదు చేయటంతోపాటు కఠిన చర్యలు తీసుకుంటామని హెచ్చరించారు. ఈ కేసులలో పడే శిక్షలేమిటో చెబుతూ బెదిరించారు. ఉద్యోగులను, విద్యార్థులనూ భయపెట్టారు. అయితే.. తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమ శ్రేణులు మాత్రం డీజీపీ బెదిరింపులను పూచికపుల్లతో సమానంగా తీసిపారేశాయి. రైల్‌రోకోలకు కోట్లాది మంది జనం వస్తున్నారని, వారందరినీ బంధించే దమ్ము కిరణ్ సర్కారుకు ఉందా? అని ఇటీవలే కేసీఆర్ సవాలు విసిరారు. ఇదే స్ఫూర్తిని ఇతర తెలంగాణ శ్రేణులు కూడా ప్రదర్శిస్తున్నాయి. తాము రైళ్లు ఆపుతున్నది కేవలం తెలంగాణ ఆకాంక్షను చాటిచెప్పడం కోసమేనని ప్రకటించిన తెలంగాణవాదులు.. లాఠీలకు, తూటాలకు బెదిరేది లేదని తేల్చి చెప్పారు.


రైల్‌రోకో ఉద్యమానికి టీ కాంగ్రెస్ ఎంపీలు మరింత సమరోత్సాహాన్ని జత చేశారు. తాము సైతం రైల్‌రోకోల్లో తమ తమ నియోజకవర్గాల్లోని రైల్వే స్టేషన్‌లలో పాల్గొంటామని ప్రకటించారు. కాంగ్రెస్ శ్రేణులు సైతం జేఏసీ పిలుపు మేరకు ఈ ఆందోళనలో పాల్గొంటాయని తెలిపారు. కాగా.. దినేష్‌డ్డి బెదిరింపులపై తెలంగాణ రాజకీయ జేఏసీ కో చైర్మన్ మల్లెపల్లి లక్ష్మయ్య తీవ్ర ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ప్రజలను హింసిస్తే తిరుగుబాటు తప్పదని, ఇది సర్కారు పతనానికే దారి తీస్తుందని హెచ్చరించారు. డీజీపీపై టీఆర్‌ఎస్ ఎమ్మెల్యే కే తారకరామారావు నిప్పులు చెరిగారు. ఆయ నకు దమ్ముంటే ఖాకీ బట్టలు వదిలేసి, కాంగ్రెస్ లో చేరి అప్పుడు తమతో పోరాడాలని సవాలు విసిరారు. ఆయన ఉద్యమనేతలే లక్ష్యంగా హెచ్చరికలు చేస్తూ సీమాంధ్ర నాయకత్వానికి చెంచా గిరీ చేస్తున్నారని మండిపడ్డారు.

రైల్‌రోకో చేసే తెలంగాణ ప్రజానీకాన్ని అరెస్టు చేసుకుంటూ పోతే ఉన్న జైళ్లు చాలవని టీఆర్‌ఎస్ ఎమ్మెల్యే హరీశ్‌రావు అన్నారు. ఎందరు డీజీపీలు వచ్చినా రైల్‌రోకోలను ఎవ్వరూ ఆపజాలరని టీఆర్‌ఎస్ పొలిట్‌బ్యూరో సభ్యుడు దాసోజు శ్రవణ్‌కుమార్ స్పష్టం చేశారు. రైల్‌రోకోలో మొదటి రైలు ఆపేది తానేనని, ఏం చేస్తారో చేసుకోండని మెదక్ ఎంపీ విజయశాంతి సవాలు విసిరారు. డీజీపీ చట్టాన్ని అతిక్షికమిస్తున్నారని బీజేపీ మండిపడగా.. డీజీపీ బెదిరింపులు ప్రజాస్వామ్యానికి ఏమాత్రం శ్రేయస్కరంకాదని న్యూడెమోక్షికసీ నేత గోవర్ధన్ హితవు పలికారు. సీనియర్ సిటిజన్‌లు సైతం రైల్‌రోకోలకు మద్దతు పలికారు. ఓ వైపు ప్రభుత్వం బెదిరింపులకు పాల్పడుతూ నిర్బంధకాండకు రంగం సిద్ధం చేస్తున్నా... రైల్వే శాఖ మాత్రం ప్రయాణికులకు మార్గమధ్యంలో ఇబ్బందులు ఎదురుకాకుండా భారీగా రైళ్లను రద్దు చేసింది. అనేక రైళ్లను దారిమళ్లించింది.
