Movie Review:

Rajanna is an upcoming Indian Telugu film starring Akkineni Nagarjuna and Sneha in the lead. It will be directed by noted story writer Vijayendra Prasad, father of S.S. Rajamouli. The shooting started on September 13, 2010. It is slated to release in 2011.

It was announced in 2010 that Akkineni Nagarjuna would do a film under Vijayendra Prasad’s direction and it was titled as ‘Rajanna’.It is rumored that S.S. Rajamouli will choreograph the action squences of the film. The film, it is learnt, is based on the Razakar Movement. Later Sneha was roped in to play the female lead for this movie.It is their second film together after Sri Ramadasu.

We do notice statues of local heroes when we visit villages in Andhra Pradesh. Few of these statues belong to neither politicians nor well-known freedom fighters. These statues are of unsung heroes who fought for their freedom and for their land. One such local hero is Suddala Hanumanthu (father of national award winning film lyricist Suddala Ashok Teja). He is a poet from Nalgonda region who fought against Rajakars to save the land of his village-men.

As per the sources of idlebrain.com, story of Nagarjuna’s forthcoming film Rajanna is based on the life story of Suddala Hanumanthu and is about the revolution he led to oppose the oppression by the Rajakars in the post-independence era when Hyderabad’s Nizam state was yet to join the Union of India. The time period during which the story happens is 1950’s and 1960’s.

Vijayendra Prasad who had been the backbone of many of SS Rajamouli’s successes is wielding megaphone for this movie. Impressed with the unique content, the producer Supriya Yarlagadda is producing this movie on big scale with lot of rich sets on her prestigious Annapurna Studios banner.

There have been rumors spread in media that this film is on Telangana movement. But it is not true. The producer has taken a few incidents that happened in Nizam rebellion time and used the Razakar movements as the backdrop. The story is about a man fighting for the land and fighting for the people

( ఆదిలాబాద్) పులి వారి జీవితంలో ఒక భాగం. అంతకు మించి ఇంటి దేవత! గోండులకు జన్మనిచ్చిన జంగుబాయి వాహనం పులి. పులి పేరిట ఆకిడి పేరుతో ఏకంగా ఒక పండుగే ఉంది వారికి. ఆ పండుగ రోజు పులి బొమ్మలు తయారు చేసి పూజిస్తారు. చల్లగా చూడమని పులిని వేడుకుంటారు. ఆకలై తినాలనుకుంటే ఒక్క పశువునే తిను.. అన్ని పశువులకూ హాని చేయొద్దని మొక్కుకుంటారు. అటవీ ఉత్పత్తుల సేకరణ, పోడు వ్యవసాయంలో భాగంగా అడవిలోకి వెళ్లినప్పుడు పులి ఎదురైనా వారి భయం లేదు. తల్లీ.. నీ దారిని నువ్వు వెళ్లు.. మా దారిన మేం పోతాం.. అని చేతులు జోడిస్తే చాలు.. ఆ తల్లి ఎలాంటి హాని చేయకుండా వెళ్లిపోతుందని వారి నమ్మకం. ఆ నమ్మకంపైనే తరతరాలుగా ఇక్కడి గిరిజనులు క్రూరమృగాలు, పశుపక్ష్యాదుల నడుమ నిర్భయంగా బతుకుతున్నారు.

వారి తెగల ఆవిర్భావానికి పులి ఒక సాంస్కృతిక చిహ్నం. అంతెందుకు.. పులిని వారు తోదో అనిపిలుస్తారు. తోదో అంటే తాత అని అర్థం. ఇలా ఇక్కడి గిరిజనులు పులిని ఏకంగా తమ కుటుంబంలో పెద్ద దిక్కుగా పరిగణిస్తారు. వారికి పులితో ఎలాంటి ప్రమాదం లేదు. కానీ.. ఇప్పుడు పులిపేరుతో ప్రమాదం ముంచుకొచ్చింది. ఏళ్ల తరబడి పులులతో అనుబంధాన్ని పెనవేసుకున్న గిరిజనులను ఇప్పుడు ప్రభుత్వం టైగర్ జోన్ పేరుతో తరిమేయాలని చూస్తోంది. అంతరించిపోతున్న పులులను సంరక్షించే పేరుతో.. గిరిజన తెగలు అంతరించిపోయేందుకు ఆస్కారం కల్పిస్తోంది. అదీ నిబంధనలకు పాతరేసి. చట్టాలను చుట్టచుట్టి బుట్టదాఖలు చేసి. మార్గదర్శకాలను బేఖాతరు చేసి. టైగర్ జోన్ పేరుతో ఆదిలాబాద్ జిల్లా కవ్వాల్ అడవులను అభయారణ్యంగా నోటిఫై చేసేందుకు సర్కారు అత్యుత్సాహం ప్రదర్శిస్తున్నది. ఇక్కడ ఏళ్ల తరబడి నివసిస్తున్న గిరిజనులను అడవి తల్లికి దూరం చేయబోతున్నది. వారి చరివూతను చెరిపే కుట్ర పన్నింది.

దేశానికే వన్నెతెచ్చే ‘టైగర్ జోన్’ ఏర్పాటు చేస్తామంటూ వారిని అడవిలోంచి బయటకు నెట్టే ప్రయత్నాలు చేస్తున్నది. కవ్వాల్ అరణ్యం పెద్దపులులు జీవించడానికి అనువైన ప్రదేశమైతే అక్కడ పులుల సంఖ్య గణనీయంగా ఉండాలి. మరి అక్కడ ఎన్ని పులులున్నాయి? అంటే.. ఒక్క పెద్దపులికూడా లేదనే సమాధానమే వస్తుంది. అయినా సరే అక్కడే టైగర్‌జోన్‌ను ఎందుకు ఏర్పాటు చేయాలనుకున్నారు? ఆదిలాబాద్ జిల్లాలో ఉన్నట్లుగా రాష్ట్రంలో మరే జిల్లాలో అభయారణ్యాలులేవా? అక్కడ పులులను పెంచేందుకు ఆస్కారంలేదా? ఉంది. అయినాసరే ఇక్కడే పులుల సంరక్షణ కేంద్రాన్ని ఏర్పాటు చేసేందుకు కేంద్రవూపభుత్వం ఉత్తర్వులు కూడా జారీ చేసింది. అడవితల్లినే నమ్ముకుని కాలం వెళ్లదీస్తున్న గిరిజనులను మైదాన ప్రాంతాలకు తరలించేందుకు పక్కా ప్రణాళికకూడా తయారుచేశారు.

ఇది ఆచరణ రూపం దాల్చితే కవ్వాల్ అభయారణ్యం దేశంలోని 41వ పులుల సంరక్షణ కేంద్రం అవుతుంది. తాళ్లపేట్, జన్నారం, ఇంధన్‌పల్లి, బీర్సాయిపేట్, కడం అటవీరేంజ్‌ల పరిధిలో విస్తరించి ఉన్న కవ్వాల్ అడవిలోని 1100 చదరపు కిలోమీటర్ల రేడియల్ డిస్టెన్స్‌లో పులుల సంరక్షణ కేంద్రాన్ని ఏర్పాటుచేయనున్నారు. ఇందుకు రెవెన్యూ అధికారుల సర్వేకూడా పూర్తవడంతో అడవిని వదిలేందుకు గిరిజనులను ఒప్పించే ప్రయత్నం చేస్తున్నారు.

knr054-telangana News talangana patrika telangana culture telangana politics telangana cinema వేళాపాళాలేని కరెంటు కోతలతో చేనేత కార్మికులు అల్లాడిపోతున్నారు. మరమగ్గాలు మూలనపడ్డాయి. ఉత్పత్తులు గణనీయంగా పడిపోయాయి. ఇతర రాష్ట్రాల వ్యాపారులు తిరుగుముఖం పడుతున్నారు. రోజుకు రూ.200 సంపాదించే కార్మికులు రూ.30 మాత్రమే సంపాదిస్తున్నారు. దీంతో కార్మికులు పొట్టచేతపట్టుకొని వలసబాట పడుతున్నారు. చాలీచాలని సంపాదనతో ఇల్లు గడవక ఆత్మహత్యలకు ఒడిగడుతున్నారు. కరెంటు కోత నుంచి సిరిసిల్లను మినహాయించండంటూ బుధవారం నేతన్నలు ఆర్డీవో కార్యాలయాన్ని ముట్టడించారు. ..

సిరిసిల్ల, డిసెంబర్ 14 (): అడ్డూ అదుపు లేని కరెంటు కోతలు నేతన్నల ఉసురుతీస్తోంది. దీంతో నెల రోజులుగా మరమగ్గాల పరిక్షిశమలు సరిగా నడవక, వందలాది మంది కార్మికులు పొట్టచేతపట్టుకుని బతుకుదెరువు కోసం వలసబాట పడుతున్నారు. సిరిసిల్ల వస్త్ర పరిక్షిశమలో నెలకొన్న తీవ్ర సంక్షోభంతో 2000 సంవత్సరంలో సుమారు 450 మంది కార్మికులు ప్రాణాలు కోల్పోయారు. అందులో చాలావరకు ఆత్మహత్యలే. సిరిసిల్ల చేనేత కార్మికుల ఆత్మహత్యల గురించి జాతీయస్థాయి మీడియాలో కూడా కథనాలు వచ్చాయి. దీంతో కేంద్ర, రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వాలు దిగివచ్చి నేతన్నలకు అనేక రాయితీలు ఇచ్చాయి. ప్రజారాజ్యం పార్టీ వ్యవస్థాపకుడు చిరంజీవి స్వయంగా సిరిసిల్లను సందర్శించి కార్మికుల దయనీయ పరిస్థితులపై రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ తీరుపై దుమ్మెత్తి పోయడంతో అప్పటి దివంగత వైఎస్ స్వయంగా సిరిసిల్లకు వచ్చారు.

కార్మికులకు ఆరోగ్యశ్రీ పథకంతోపాటు విద్యుత్‌లో సగం వరకు రాయితీలు, అంత్యోదయ కార్డులు, ఇళ్ల పట్టాలు, బీమా సౌకర్యం వర్తింపజేశారు. రాష్ట్రంలో కరెంటు కోత తీవ్రంగా ఉన్నా సిరిసిల్లను మాత్రం మినహాయించారు. సిరిసిల్లలో టెక్స్‌టైల్స్ రంగాన్ని అభివృద్ధి పర్చాలన్న లక్ష్యంతో గత ప్రభుత్వాలు ఇక్కడ ‘టెక్స్‌టైల్స్ పార్క్’ను ఏర్పాటు చేసింది. సిరిసిల్లకు ప్రత్యేకంగా రాయితీలు కల్పించడంతో గుజరాత్, ముంబై, భీవండి, కర్ణాటక, ఢిల్లీ తదితర రాష్ట్రాల నుంచి వ్యాపారవేత్తలు వచ్చి ఆధునిక మరమగ్గాల యూనిట్లను నెలకొల్పడంతో టెక్స్‌టైల్స్ రంగం కొంత మెరుగుపడింది. కానీ ప్రస్తుతం కరెంటు ఎప్పుడు వస్తుందో, ఎప్పుడు పోతుందో తెలియని పరిస్థితిలో నెల రోజుల నుంచి ఇటు వ్యాపారులు, అటు కార్మికులు తీవ్ర ఇబ్బందులు ఎదుర్కొంటున్నారు. నిర్ణీత సమయమంటూ లేకుండా రోజుకు ఆరుగంటలపాటు కోత విధించడంతో ఇక్కడ పరిక్షిశమలు నెలకొల్పాలన్న ఔత్సాహిక వ్యాపారవేత్తలు తిరుగుముఖం పడుతున్నారు.

అన్నమో రామచంద్రా అంటున్న నేతన్నలు
ఉదయం 8 గంటలకు కరెంటు పోతే తిరిగి 10 గంటలకు వస్తోంది. అదికూడ కేవలం అరగంట మాత్రమే ఉండి సాయంత్రం 5 గంటల వరకు మళ్లీరాదు. ఈ రకంగా పొద్దంతా కరెంటు కోత కారణంగా రోజుకు ₹200 సంపాదించే కార్మికుడు.. ₹30 మాత్రమే సంపాదిస్తున్నాడు. వచ్చిన కూలీ డబ్బులు కూరగాయలకు, చిల్లర ఖర్చులకైతే ఇక పొట్టగడవడం ఎట్లా అని నేతన్నలు ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నారు. ఈ కరెంటు కోత కారణంగా పొట్టగడవక అనేక మంది నేతన్నలు అన్నమో రామచంద్రా అంటూ ఆకలిచావులకు పాల్పడుతున్నారు.

తగ్గిన ఉత్పత్తి.. ఉపాధి కరువు
సిరిసిల్ల పట్టణంలోతోపాటు రాజీవ్‌నగర్, తంగళ్లపల్లి, చంద్రంపేట, సారంపల్లి టెక్స్‌టైల్స్ పార్కులను కలుపుకుంటే 30 వేల మరమగ్గాలకుపైగా ఉన్నాయి. వీటితోపాటు అనుబంధ పరిక్షిశమలు సైజింగ్‌లు, డైయింగ్‌లు, వార్పిన్‌లు, ఇతర కులవృత్తుల ద్వారా సుమారు 30 వేల మంది ఉపాధి పొందుతున్నారు. వెల్డింగ్, ఇంజనీరింగ్, హమాలీలు, వడ్రంగులు, కమ్మరులు ఇలా అన్ని వర్గాల ప్రజలకు వస్త్ర పరిక్షిశమే ఆధారంగా ఉంది. రోజుకు 15 లక్షల మీటర్ల వస్త్రాలు తయారు కాగా కరెంటు కోత కారణంగా 6 లక్షల మీటర్లకు ఉత్పత్తులు పడిపోయి ఇటు వ్యాపారులు, అటు కార్మికులు తీవ్రంగా నష్టపోతున్నారు.

ఏడాదిగా మంజూరు కాని విద్యుత్ సబ్సిడీ
నేతన్నల ఆత్మహత్యలను దృష్టిలో పెట్టుకుని గత ప్రభుత్వాలు ఇక్కడి పరిక్షిశమలకు విద్యత్ రాయితీలు ఇస్తూ వచ్చాయి. వైఎస్సార్ మరణించిన అనంతరం విద్యుత్ సబ్సిడీలు గత ఏడాది 2010 సెప్టెంబర్ నుంచి ఇప్పటి వరకు ₹7కోట్లు పెండింగ్‌లో ఉన్నాయి. ప్రస్తుత సర్కార్ సబ్సిడీ నిధులు మంజూరు చేయకుండా కార్మికులను అరిగోస పెడుతోంది. అనేకసార్లు నేత కార్మికులు, యజమానులు ఆందోళన కార్యక్షికమాలు చేపట్టినా, మంత్రులకు వినతి పత్రాలు సమర్పించినా సబ్సిడీకి దిక్కులేదు. ఒకవైపు కరెంటు కోత మరోవైపు విద్యుత్ సబ్సిడీలు మంజూరు చేయకుండా ప్రభుత్వం సిరిసిల్ల వస్త్ర పరిక్షిశమను అంపశయ్యపైకి చేర్చుతోందని కార్మికులు ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేస్తున్నారు.

పరిక్షిశమలు రాకుండా ప్రభుత్వం కుట్ర: గూగూరి ప్రవీణ్, వస్త్రవ్యాపారి, సెస్ డైరెక్టర్
ప్రభుత్వం కరెంటు కోత విధించడంతో ఇక్కడ పరిక్షిశమలు స్థాపించే వ్యాపారులు వెనక్కి మళ్లిపోతున్నారు. వెనకబడ్డ తెలంగాణ ప్రాంతానికి ఈ విధంగా సీమాంధ్ర ప్రభుత్వం నష్టం చేస్తోంది. కరెంటు సబ్సిడీ కూడా ఏడాదిగా మంజూరు చేయకుండా వస్త్ర పరిక్షిశమను సంక్షోభంలోకి నెడుతోంది. కార్మికులు ఆత్మహత్యలు చేసుకుంటే ప్రభుత్వమే బాధ్యత వహించాలి.

కరెంటు కోతపై నేతన్నల నిరసన
నెలరోజులుగా కరెంటు కోత కారణంగా వస్త్ర పరిక్షిశమ సంక్షోభంలోకి కూరుకు పోవడంతో నేతన్నలు ఆగ్రహించారు. సీఐటీయూ ఆధ్వర్యంలో బుధవారం ఆర్డీవో కార్యాలయాన్ని ముట్టడించి, అధికారులను లోపలికి వెళ్లకుండా అడ్డుకున్నారు. రెండు గంటలపాటు నిరసన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా కార్మిక సంఘాల నాయకులు పంతం రవి, మూషం రమేశ్‌లు మాట్లాడుతూ సిరిసిల్ల వస్త్ర పరిక్షిశమలో పనిచేస్తున్న నేత కార్మికులు ఆత్మహత్యలు చేసుకునేవిధంగా ప్రభుత్వం కరెంటు కోతను విధిస్తోందని ఆరోపించారు. కరెంటు కోతకు నిర్ణీత సమయం లేకపోవడంతో ఎప్పుడు వస్తుందో తెలియక కార్మికులు సాంచెల వద్ద కళ్లలో వత్తులు వేసుకుని ఎదురుచూస్తున్నారని ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేశారు. సిరిసిల్లను ప్రత్యేక జోన్‌గా గుర్తించి, కరెంటు కోత నుంచి మినహాయించాలని డిమాండ్‌చేశారు. లేని పక్షంలో ఆందోళన ఉధృతం చేస్తామని హెచ్చరించారు. ఈ కార్యక్షికమంలో ఆసాముల సంఘం అధ్యక్షుడు కొండ ప్రతాప్, దాసరి వెంక తన్నీరు లక్ష్మీరాజం, సబ్బని నర్సయ్య, బండారి రమేశ్, వార్పిన్ అసోసియేషన్ అధ్యక్షుడు ఉడుత రవి, గోస్క చంద్రకాంత్, నేత కార్మికులు పాల్గొన్నారు.

కరెంటు కోత
మా సావుకొచ్చింది
కరెంటు కోత మాసావుకొచ్చింది. రోజుకు కూలీ రూ.200 వచ్చేది. కరెంటు కోతల వల్ల రోజుకు రూ.30 వస్తున్నాయి. పెండ్లం, పిల్లలను ఎట్లా పోషించమంటరు. గిట్లనే గోసైతే ఇంత మందేసుకుని సావాల్సిందే.

బతుకుదెరువుకు బొంబై పోతం
గిట్ల కరెంటు పోతే తీసుకున్న మైక్రో ఫైనాన్స్ అప్పు ఎట్ల తీర్చుడు. రోజుకు నాలుగు బీములు నింపడం లేదు. ఈ తెలంగాణలో బతుకుదెరువు లేదు. కరెంటు పోయి మాకు జీతం వస్తలేదు. బొంబైకెళ్లి పనిచూసుకుంటం.

ఉరేసుకునుడే
బతుకుదెరువు కోసం సాంచెలు కిరాయి తీసుకున్నా. పొద్దంతా కరెంటు పోతోంది. నెలకు కిరాయిలు కట్టాలంటే ఎల్తలేదు. ఇప్పటికే అప్పులు తెచ్చి సేటుకు కడుతున్నా. ఇంకా అప్పులు తెచ్చుడు నాతోని కాదు. ఇక ఉరేసుకొని సచ్చుడే.

World conference of Urdu Editors, organised by Siasat

Hyderabad, December 15: (Siasat News) Urdu Journalism has created an impact on society at Universal level. In order to review the ups and downs and the challenges faced by Urdu journalism, an international conference of Urdu editors is being organized by Siasat.

The conference will suggest ways and means to develop Urdu journalism. An attempt will be made to provide a common platform for exchange of ideas.

Allama Eejaz Farukh told the news conference that Vice President of India Mr. Mohammed Hamid Ansari will inaugurate the conference and Governor and Chief Minister will be guests of honour.

Three seminars will be organized during the conference. Prof. Rahmath Yousuf Zai is the convener of the seminars. Mr. Kuldeep Nayyar and Mr. Mahmood Sham (Pakistan) will participate

Hyderabad, December 15: () C.M. Mr. N. Kiran Kumar Reddy instructed the District Collectors to prefer candidates belonging to Minorities in recruitments under Rajiv Yuva Karnalu scheme.

He issued these instructions while addressing the Collectors’ conference reviewing the schemes pertaining to weaker sections and Minorities. He told that Minorities should get their due share in jobs.

He also said that in order to uplift Minorities, Govt. has provided 4% reservations in jobs and admissions in educational institutions.

He advised the collectors to complete the construction of marriage halls utilizing the funds earmarked fro this purpose. They should also concentrate on the repairs of mosques, churches and graveyards and also ensure the quality of rice to be supplied in ration shops.

Badauan,December 15 :Playing the Muslim card, Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday alleged that minorities were not getting any benefits in Uttar Pradesh and accused the Mayawati government of ignoring their welfare.

“Sachar committee report (on welfare of minorities) was implemented and money for minorities was sent, but has UP benefited. The report is being implemented in other states like Haryana, Delhi and Maharashtra,” Rahul said in a rally on the second day of his tour of western UP.

“We fulfill our promises, MNREGA was launched and Lokpal Bill is coming. The state government is not willing to work,” he alleged.

He alleged that leaders lacked vision and they do not think in the long-term.

“In 1980 Rajiv Gandhi talked about computers and people are benefited today. Until and unless leaders think long-term UP cannot progress,” he said.

Rahul said states like Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka progressed because Congress governments there had a vision and leaders thought about the future.

“Non-Congress governments think only about today,” he said.

Alleging loot of central funds in UP, Rahul said, “Rajiv Gandhi used to say that of Re 1 only 15 paise reach in people, but in UP not a single paise is reaching.”

He said the loss was not that of the Centre or the state government, but that of the people and UP's future.

“The elephant in Lucknow eats money. This money is not that of the Centre or the state government..it comes from the contribution made by the people in development.

We send money for the people, but it does not reach them in UP,” he alleged. Gandhi, who is on the second day of his five-day trip in the Samajwadi Party stronghold, alleged Mayawati government was corrupt and the money meant for poor does not reach them.

Seeking a five-year stint in power, he said corruption in UP government was affecting the future of the state as no employment opportunity is generated in the state.

“Twenty-two years have gone by. What did you get? Mulayam Singh came.

He talked about caste. Then Mayawati came. She also talked about caste. Give Congress five years. We will show that we can transform this state,” he said adding a government of the poor people will can change many things.

Gandhi broke the security cordon today and mingled with people on his way back from a madrasa during his five-day visit to western Uttar Pradesh.

While coming out of the madrasa, he broke the security cordon and mingled with people, who had gathered to have a glimpse of him in nearby houses.
