'Jai Bholo Telangana’ in U.S.A
‘Jai Bolo Telangana’, a much awaited movie that is set in the backdrop of recent Telangana and Andhra Agitations is coming to America starting February 04, 2011.
Director N. Shanker, a name to reckon within quality entertainers like Jayam-manadera, Encounter, and Sriramulayya, this time has come up with a film portraying current political scenario in Telangana region of Andhra Pradesh.
Some of the actors portrayed in the film are NOT reel life but real life leaders, activists, students, singers, lawyers, and journalists. This movie portrays real life instances and from the perspective all segments of people of Andhra Pradesh.
The film is produced and directed by by N. Shanker under the banner of Mahalakshmi Arts Productions, and Chakri scored the music, which is already a big success.
Ande Sri, Goreti Venkanna, Suddala Ashok Teja, Nandini Sidha Reddy, Gaddar, and K Chandrasekhar Rao penned songs for this movie.
Shanker confined that, Jagapathi Babu plays a Telangana revolutionary named Bandagi Gopanna. “It’s the most memorable character in Telugu cinema and I felt only Jagapathi Babu could do justice to it. When I narrated the story to him, he was impressed and immediately agreed to do the movie. He proved that artistes have no caste, region or religion. Bandagi is a Muslim name and Gopanna a Hindu name. Separate Telangana is the long-felt dream of four crore people following different religions and the character reflects that” Shankar Said in his preparation for the movie. “Jai Bolo Telangana reflects the current political scenario in the State. The “Garadi Chestundru” number written by KCR has become quite a rage. KCR penned a few songs as part of the Dhoom Dhaam campaigns. When I listened to those songs, the thought of having him write a song for the film came to my mind,”

No one will go disappointed from watching this rare glimpse of current life and events in Andhra Pradesh, particularly in Telangana, on the big screen, as it is a rarity for Telugu films to portray real life events with life like people.
