Nalgonda buzzing with VIPs on eve of Komatireddy fast
Nalgonda: The town was buzzing with hectic activity as several senior Congress leaders started arriving here to be present at the indefinite hunger strike by Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Tuesday.
Former MLA Lingaiah inspected the venue of the fast at Clock Tower.
Later, addressing the media, he said that Komatireddy Venkat Reddy “was a jewel in the crown and the last hope for Telangana”. He demanded that the Telangana bill should be introduced in parliament without further delay.
Former municipal chairman P Venkatnarayana Goud, a close follower of the fasting leader, who was busy supervising the arrangements for the fast, told The Hans India, “Telangana should be freed from the capitalists of Seemandhra and that power is not all important for the Telangana leaders.”
He urged all the Telangana leaders to relinquish their posts from the government and participate in the T movement. Meanwhile, the district police have made elaborate arrangements to keep the situation under control.
