కేంద్ర కేబినెట్ విస్తరణకు సర్వం సిద్ధమైంది. భారీస్థాయిలో మంత్రిమండలి ప్రక్షాళనకు తెరలేచింది. పాతవారి నిష్క్రమణ..కొత్తవారి ఆగమనంతో మన్మోహన్ కేబినెట్ కొత్త రూపు సంతరించుకోనుంది. యూపీఏ కేబినెట్ నుంచి ఏడుగురు మంత్రులు తప్పుకోగా, మరో 12 మంది కొత్తవారు చేరనున్నారు. 12 మంది సహాయ మంత్రులకు పదోన్నతి లభించనుంది. ఈ మేరకు ఆదివారం కేంద్ర కేబినెట్‌లో భారీ పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరణ జరగనుంది. రాష్ట్రపతి భవన్‌లో ఉదయం 11.30 గంటలకు కొత్త మంత్రులు ప్రమాణం చేయనున్నారు. కేంద్ర మంత్రులైన అంబికా సోనీ, ముకుల్ వాస్నిక్, సుబోధ్‌కాంత్ సహాయ్, సహాయ మంత్రులైన మహాదేవ్ ఖండేలా, అగాథా సంగ్మా, విన్సెంట్ పాలా శనివారం తమ పదవులకు రాజీనామా చేశారు. కేంద్ర విదేశాంగ మంత్రి ఎస్‌ఎం కృష్ణ శుక్రవారం రాజీనామా చేసిన విషయం తెలిసిందే. దీంతో రాజీనామా చేసిన మంత్రుల సంఖ్య ఏడుకు చేరుకుంది.

తాజా మార్పులలో జైపాల్‌డ్డిని పెట్రోలియం శాఖ నుంచి మానవ వనరుల అభివృద్ధి శాఖకు మార్చవచ్చునని భావిస్తున్నారు. కీలకమైన విదేశాంగ శాఖ ఆనంద్‌శర్మ లేదా సల్మాన్‌ఖుర్షీద్‌కు దక్కవచ్చునని చెబుతున్నారు. రాష్ట్ర ఎంపీ పురంధేశ్వరికి పదోన్నతి కల్పించి వాణిజ్య శాఖను ఇవ్వనున్నారని, రాహుల్‌ను కాంగ్రెస్ వర్కింగ్ ప్రెసిడెంట్‌గా నియమించవచ్చునని చెబుతున్నారు.

Manmohan expands cabinet with new faces

Salman Khurshid was on Sunday made External Affairs Minister and Veerappa Moily given Petroleum portfolio as Prime Minister Manmohan Singh undertook a major reshuffle of Council of Ministers and inducted 17 new faces. 

As part of the revamp of the government that had faced criticism over perceived policy paralysis and corruption allegations, Pawan Kumar Bansal was shifted from Water Resources to Railways and S Jaipal Reddy moved from the high profile Petroleum to Science and Technology and Earth Sciences. 

Former Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman and veteran leader from Karnataka K Rahman Khan made a re-entry into the government as Minority Affairs Minister, a portfolio held by Khurshid. In UPA-I, Mr. Khan was a Minister of State. 

Surprisingly, Mr. Khurshid, who also held the portfolio of Law, got the high-profile External Affairs Ministry despite the controversy surrounding him over allegations of financial bungling by a trust run by him and his wife. 

Dinsha Patel was promoted as Cabinet Minister in Mines Ministry in the reshuffle and expansion that raised the strength of the Council of Ministers to 78 from 67.

Rahul Gandhi, who was earlier speculated to join the government, kept away with the Prime Minister saying the young leader wants to strengthen the party, notwithstanding his request to become a minister. 

The exercise, which the Prime Minister said was “hopefully, probably the last” before next Lok Sabha polls, was confined to Congress party barring the inclusion of Tariq Anwar of NCP as a Minister of State. 

Twentytwo ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy by President Pranab Mukherjee at a ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan attended by Vice President Hamid Ansari, the Prime Minister, Congress president Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Cabinet Ministers and Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj. 

The Prime Minister took away portfolios from ministers holding more than one charge and filled in the vacancies created by exit of six Trinamool Ministers, death of Vilasrao Deshmukh and resignation of eight Ministers including S M Krishna, Virbhadra Singh, Ambika Soni, Mukul Wasnik and Subodh Kant Sahai. 

The new faces brought in included actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi who has been made MoS with Independent charge in the Ministry of Tourism while Manish Tewari has been given I&B, a portfolio held by Ambika Soni who resigned on Saturday. 

Shashi Tharoor, who had to quit as MoS External Affairs in April 2010 in the wake of allegations of wrongdoing in buying stakes in an IPL team, has made a comeback as MoS HRD. 

Telecom Minister Kapil Sibal shed HRD portfolio to M M Pallam Raju, who has been promoted in the reshuffle. Earlier, Raju was Minister of State for Defence.

Another significant promotion has been made in the case of Ashwani Kumar who has been upgraded to the Cabinet rank and given the charge of the Law Ministry held by Khurshid. 

Yet another upgradation has been made in the case of Harish Rawat, who was overlooked for the post of Chief Minister of Uttarakhand earlier this year and had revolted. 

From MoS in Agriculture Ministry, he has now been made a Cabinet Minister for Water Resources. 

The other promotions are Dinsha Patel from MoS to Cabinet Minister in the Mines Ministry and Ajay Maken, who has been shifted from Sports to Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation. 

Significant changes have also been made by upgrading three young Ministers of State, considered close to Rahul Gandhi, and giving them independent charge. 

They are Jyotiraditya Scindia who has been given Power and Sachin Pilot Corporate Affairs, both of which were held by Moily in Cabinet rank. Jitendra Singh, who was MoS in Home Ministry, has been given Youth and Sports Affairs. 

Veteran Congress leader and MoS K H Muniyappa has been shifted from Railways to Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) and Bharatsinh Solanki from Railways to Drinking Water and Sanitation with Independent charge. 

The other Ministers of State who have been shifted are D Purandeswari (from HRD to Commerce and Industry), Jitin Prasada (from Road Transport to Defence and HRD), S Jagathrakshakan (from I&B to New and Renewable Energy), K C Venugopal (from Power to Civil Aviation) and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Rajiv Shukla who gets additional charge of Planning. 

MoS External Affairs E Ahamed has shed the additional charge of HRD while R P N Singh has been shifted from Petroleum to Home. 

Cabinet Minister Vayalar Ravi retains Overseas Indian Affairs, Kapil Sibal Communications and IT, Jairam Ramesh Rural Development while Selja has been shifted from HUPA to Social Justice and Empowerment. 

The new faces who have been inducted as MoS are K Suresh (Labour and Employment), Tariq Anwar (Agriculture and Food Processing Industries), K J Suryaprakash Reddy (Railways), Ranee Narah (Tribal Affairs), Adhir Ranjan Chowdhry (Railways), A H Khan Chowdhry (Health and Family Welfare), S Satyanarayana (Road Transport and Highways), Ninong Ering (Minority Affairs), Deepa Dasmunsi (Urban Development), P Balram Naik (Social Justice and Empowerment), K Kruparani (Communications and IT) and Lalchand Kataria (Defence). 

Railways portfolio was being held by C P Joshi as additional charge since Trinamool Congress quit the government last month.

Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu (CGR) film stopped in Telangana

 
The screening of Pawan Kalyan starrer ‘Cameraman Ganga tho Rambabu’ was stopped in many theatres across Telangana on the second day of its release on Friday following protests by Telangana supporters against objectionable scenes which they claimed hurt their sentiments. 

The protests took a violent turn when Telangana Rashtra Samiti activists vandalised the offices of the film director Puri Jagannath and producer/distributor Dil Raju at Jubilee Hills and Srinagar Colony respectively here. They smashed the windscreens of four cars parked on Mr. Jagannath’s office premises, besides damaging furniture at both their offices. 

Mr. Jagannath and Mr. Raju promised to delete the scenes if they were indeed objectionable, but appealed to the agitators to stop violence. Mr. Jagannath arranged a special screening for leaders of TRS and Telangana joint action committee to vouch for the content. 

The dialogues of the film’s hero Pawan Kalyan and villain Prakash Raj was the cause of trouble. The particular scene depicted the villain throwing a challenge that only sons of the soil would be allowed to do business in Andhra Pradesh and those from other States would be driven away. 

This argument was rebuffed by the hero asking how was it that the former’s father could do business in New Delhi while the son pursued higher studies in the US.

Interpreting the scene as a direct reference to leaders in the forefront of Telangana movement, the agitators thronged theatres screening the film since morning on Friday. 

Aradhana theatre at Tarnaka which is close to Osmania University campus was the first to be attacked by the students. The crowd brought the prints to the campus and burnt them in front of the Arts College building. 

The agitators staged demonstrations at Sriramana and Sandhya talkies at Amberpet and RTC crossroads respectively. The shows were also suspended at halls in Medchal, Nacharam, Madhapur, Balanagar, L.B. Nagar, Karmanghat, Gaddiannaram, Dilsukhnagar and Kothapet. 

Mancherial MLA G. Arvind Reddy led a crowd to close down a theatre in that town. The film was not shown in 12 out of 21 theatres where it was released across Karimnagar district. A theatre at Paloncha in Khammam district was also attacked. 

The Telangana Film Chamber convened an emergency meeting of its executive and demanded the film producer to compensate the talkies’ owners for the loss suffered on account of non-screening. Chamber president M. Vijayender Reddy said the compensation was paid when ‘Saleem’, ‘Arya Two’ and ‘Adurs’ were not screened under similar circumstances. 

The TRS reacted to the developments saying it will not tolerate insult to Telangana movement in the name of a film.

తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమ సెగతో దర్శకుడు పూరీ జగన్నాథ్‌కు దిమ్మ తిరిగింది. ‘కెమెరామెన్ గంగతో రాంబాబు’ సినిమాలో తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమాన్ని కించపర్చేవిధంగా సన్నివేశాలు, సంభాషణలు ఉన్న విషయాన్ని ‘నమస్తే తెలంగాణ’ తన చిత్ర సమీక్షలో ప్రస్తావించిన సంగతి తెలిసిందే. దీంతో ఉదయం నుంచే తెలంగాణలోని అన్ని జిల్లాల్లో థియేటర్లవద్ద తెలంగాణవాదులు పెద్ద ఎత్తున ఆందోళనకు దిగారు. హైదరాబాద్‌లో పూరీ జగన్నాథ్ నివాసాన్ని టీఆర్‌ఎస్వీ నేతలు ముట్టడించారు. వాహనాలను, ఫర్నీచర్‌ను ధ్వంసం చేశారు. డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటర్ దిల్‌రాజు నివాసంపైనా గుర్తు తెలియని వ్యక్తులు రాళ్లు రువ్వారు. మరోవైపు ఈ సినిమాలోని అభ్యంతరకర దృశ్యాలను తొలగించేంతవరకూ సినిమాను తెలంగాణ జిల్లాల్లో ఆడనిచ్చేదిలేదని తెలంగాణ ఫిలిం చాంబర్ ఆఫ్ కామర్స్ కూడా స్పష్టం చేయడం, హైదరాబాద్ నగరంతోపాటు.. ఇతర తెలంగాణ జిల్లాలన్నింటా సినిమా ప్రదర్శన నిలిచిపోవడంతో దర్శకుడు పూరీ, డిస్ట్రిబ్యూటర్ దిల్‌రాజు అతికష్టంమీద దిగి వచ్చారు. సాయంత్రం విలేకరులతో మాట్లాడిన పూరీ జగన్నాథ్.. ఈ సినిమా ఎవరినైనా నొప్పించినట్లయితే క్షమించాలని కోరారు. అభ్యంతరకరంగా ఉన్న 12 దృశ్యాలను తొలగిస్తామని ప్రకటించారు. సన్నివేశాలు తొలగించిన తర్వాత ఈ సినిమాను శనివారం తెలంగాణ నాయకులకు చూపిస్తామని, వారు ఎలాంటి అభ్యంతరం లేదని స్పష్టం చేసిన తరువాతనే సినిమాను ప్రదర్శనకు పంపిస్తామని అన్నారు. దిల్ రాజు సైతం అభ్యంతరకర సన్నివేశాలను ఇప్పటికే తొలగించామని, మరిన్ని అభ్యంతరాలు ఉంటే వాటినీ పరిశీలిస్తామని తెలిపారు. మొదట తాను తెలంగాణవాడినని, తాను పెట్టుబడి పెట్టాను కాబట్టి అభ్యంతరకర సన్నివేశాలున్నా... సినిమాను ఆడించాలని తీవ్ర ప్రయత్నం చేశారు. సినిమా తెలంగాణకు వ్యతిరేకం కాదంటూ మాట్లాడారు. అయితే తెలంగాణవాదులు ప్రాంతంవాడివైనంత మాత్రాన తెలంగాణకు వ్యతిరేకంగా సన్నివేశాలు ఉన్న సినిమాను ఆడనిచ్చేది లేదని ఆచరణలో తెగేసి చెప్పారు. ఉద్యమకారుల ఆందోళన నేపథ్యంలో అభ్యంతరకర సన్నివేశాలు తొలగించాక ‘రాంబాబు’ చిత్రాన్ని ఉద్యమనాయకులకు, తెలంగాణ ఫిలిం చాంబర్ ఆఫ్ కామర్స్ ప్రతినిధులకు చూపించనున్నారు. వారు సరేనంటే కెమెరామెన్ గంగతో రాంబాబు సినిమా మళ్లీ తెరపైకి రానుంది.

హైదరాబాద్, అక్టోబర్ 19 (): తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమాన్ని, ఉద్యమకారులను కించపరిచే విధంగా ఉన్న ‘కెమెరామెన్ గంగతో రాంబాబు’ సినిమా పట్ల టీఆర్‌ఎస్ అధినేత కేసీఆర్ ఆగ్రహం వ్యక్తం చేసినట్లు తెలిసింది. సినిమా రంగం పట్ల అత్యంత సానుకూలంగా ఉండే తెలంగాణవాదుల పట్ల దుర్మార్గమైన పద్ధతిని అవలంబించడంపై ఆయన ఆవేదన వ్యక్తం చేసినట్లు తెలిసింది. సినీ రంగంపై ఎలాంటి నిర్ణయాన్ని తీసుకోవాలో పార్టీ ముఖ్యులు, సన్నిహితులతో కేసీఆర్ చర్చించినట్లు సమాచారం.

Baba Sehgal Pavan kalyan Power Song

This is the hook line of the power song, an exclusive tribute to the power star 'Pawan Kalyan', from his most ardent and self declared fan Baba Sehgal.
