Charminar under police siege for 3rd day

Hyderabad, November 13:

Charminar, the monument which symbolizes Hyderabad, remained under police siege for the third straight day Tuesday with all the markets surrounding it still shut.

A curfew-like situation prevailed around Charminar as police and paramilitary forces were deployed in large numbers to prevent any untoward incident.

Police, however, allowed devotees to pray at the Bhagyalakshmi temple abutting Charminar, the row over which has led to tension in the old city.

All routes leading to the 400-year-old monument were sealed with barbed wires and steel barricades but the devotees were allowed to visit the temple.

Long queues of men and women were seen outside the temple to perform 'puja' on the occasion of Diwali.

Policemen were not allowed any vehicle to proceed towards the monument and only devotees were permitted to walk up to the temple, where erection of a canopy in alleged violation of high court orders Sunday triggered a huge row.

The Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) withdrew its support to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government in New Delhi and the Congress government in Andhra Pradesh.

Police said the situation in the old city was peaceful.

The Charminar area, thronged by thousands of shoppers and tourists on any given day, resembled a fortress with armed policemen deployed all over the deserted streets.

Additional forces were mobilized Tuesday to maintain law and order in view of the large number of devotees visiting the temple.

The famous bangles and cloth markets, jewelerly and pearl shops, hotels and eateries were closed for the third day, dampening Diwali festivities for the residents of the old city.

People living in areas surrounding Charminar complained that police were not allowing them to come out of their houses even to buy the essentials.

People were not permitted to go to Nizamia Tibbi Hospital close to Charminar. Relatives of patients admitted to the hospital were furious.

న్యూఢిల్లీ/హైదరాబాద్, జనవరి 17 (): విస్తరణ రాజకీయం హస్తినకు చేరుకుంది. ఉదయం నుంచి రాత్రి పొద్దుపోయేదాకా ఎడతెగని చర్చల్లో మునిగిపోయింది. మంత్రి మండలిని పూర్తిగా ప్రక్షాళన చేసి తనకంటూ ఒక జట్టును కట్టుదిట్టంగా ఏర్పాటు చేసుకోవాలి... కొందరు సీనియర్లకు ఉద్వాసన పలికి, కొత్తవారిని ఎంపిక చేసుకోవడంతో పాటు ప్రాంతాల మధ్య సమతుల్యం సాధించాలి.. ఇది ముఖ్యమంత్రి కిరణ్‌కుమార్‌డ్డి యోచన! పార్టీని, ప్రభుత్వాన్ని ఆపత్కాలంలో ఆదుకున్న చిరు బ్యాచ్‌కు తక్షణమే మంత్రి వర్గంలో స్థానం కల్పించాలి.. ఇతర మంత్రుల శాఖలను ఎట్టిపరిస్థితుల్లోనూ మార్చరాదు.. ఇది పీసీసీ చీఫ్ మనోగతం! ఇద్దరు నేతలూ రెండు వాదాలతో ఢిల్లీలో అడుగుపెట్టడంతో కాంగ్రెస్‌లో సమస్యల కొలిమి మరోసారి రాజుకున్నట్లయింది. దీనికి తోడు ఎమ్మెల్సీగా ఉన్న సీ రామచంవూదయ్యను మంత్రివర్గంలో తీసుకునే అవకాశం ఉండటంతో మేమే తక్కువా? అంటూ ఎమ్మెల్సీలు సైతం తిరగబడుతుండటంతో అగ్గికి ఆజ్యం పోసినట్లయింది. పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరణే జరిగితే తెలంగాణ కోటాలో ఏర్పడిన ఖాళీలను తమతో భర్తీ చేయాలని కోరుకునేవారి సంఖ్య కూడా పెరిగిపోయింది. తెలంగాణ ప్రాంతానికి చెందిన కొందరు ఎమ్మెల్యేలు, ఎమ్మెల్సీలు తాజాగా మంత్రి పదవుల డిమాండ్‌ను లేవనెత్తడం దీనికి నిదర్శనం.

మంగళవారం సాయంత్రం ఢిల్లీ చేరుకున్న ముఖ్యమంత్రి కిరణ్‌కుమార్‌డ్డి.. విమానాక్షిశయం నుంచి నేరుగా రాష్ట్ర వ్యవహారాల ఇన్‌చార్జ్ ఆజాద్ నివాసానికి వెళ్లి ఆయనతో భేటీ అయ్యారు. తాను పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరణ ఎందుకు చేయాలనుకుంటున్నదీ ఆయనకు మరోసారి వివరించారు. ప్రధానంగా మంత్రి వర్గ పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరణతోపాటు శాఖల కేటాయింపుపై వారిరువురూ సుదీర్ఘంగా చ ర్చించారని తెలిసింది. సీఎం తెచ్చిన కొత్త మంత్రుల జా బితా, వారి కేటాయించాలనుకుంటున్న శాఖలపై ఈ చర్చ సాగినట్లు తెలుస్తోంది. మరో ఏడాదిన్నర కాలంలో ఎన్నికలు రానున్నందున ప్రతిపక్షాలను సమర్థంగా ఎదుర్కొని, పాలనాపరంగా మరింత దూకుడుగా వ్యవహరించగలిగే కొంతమంది మంత్రులు కావాలని ఆయన పట్టుబట్టినట్లు సమాచారం. సుమారు గంటన్నరకు పైగా జరిగిన భేటీలో సొంత టీం ఏర్పాటుకు తనకు స్వేచ్ఛనివ్వాలన్న సీఎం విన్నపాన్ని ఆజాద్ అమోదించినట్లు విశ్వసనీయవర్గాలు తెలిపాయి.

రానున్న అసెంబ్లీ ఎన్నికలకు ఎంతో కాలం లేకపోవడంతో పాత టీంను మార్చాలన్న ఆయన ప్రతిపాదనకు ఆజాద్ ఓకే చెప్పినట్లు తెలిసింది. తనకు తలనొప్పిగా మారిన పీసీసీ అధ్యక్షుడు బొత్స, శంకపూరావులను మంత్రి వర్గం నుంచి తప్పించాలని ఎంతో కాలంగా సీఎం చేస్తున్న ప్రయత్నాలు ఈ దఫా ఫలించేటట్లు కనిపిస్తున్నాయి. పీఆర్‌పీ నుంచి చిరంజీవి ప్రతిపాదిస్తున్న సీ రామచంవూదయ్య, గంటా శ్రీనివాస్‌రావుకు స్థానం కల్పించాలంటే అదే సామాజిక వర్గానికి చెందిన బొత్సను తప్పించాల్సిందేనని ఆజాద్‌ను కిరణ్ ఒప్పించారని అంటున్నారు. సీఎం ప్రతిపాదనను ముందే గుర్తించిన ఆజాద్.. కిరణ్ తనను కలవడానికి ముందే బొత్సను హుటాహుటిన ఢిల్లీకి పిలిపించారు. మధ్యాహ్నం ఆయనతో భేటీ అయ్యారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా మంత్రివర్గం నుంచి ఆయనను తప్పిస్తున్న అంశాన్ని బొత్సకు తెలియపరిచారని సమాచారం.

అయితే పార్టీ, ప్రభుత్వం మధ్య సమన్వయానికి తాను మంత్రిగా కొనసాగితేనే ఉపయోగకరమని బొత్స వాదించినట్లు తెలిసింది. అయితే దీనికి ఆజాద్ సుముఖత చూపించలేదని తెలుస్తోంది. పార్టీ, ప్రభుత్వం మధ్య సమన్వయానికి ఇప్పటికే తన అధ్యక్షతన సమన్వయ కమిటీ పనిచేస్తున్నదని, దానిలో మీరు కూడా సభ్యులైనందున అక్కడ పార్టీ అభివూపాయాలను సీఎం దృష్టికి తీసుకురావచ్చని ఆజాద్ సూచించారని విశ్వసనీయవర్గాలు పేర్కొన్నాయి. ప్రభుత్వంలో లోపాలను సైతం ఎత్తిచూపొచ్చని, దానికి మంత్రివర్గంలో ఉండాల్సిన అవసరం లేదన్న ధోరణిలో బొత్సను ఆజాద్ ఒప్పించినట్లు సమాచారం. మంత్రి శంకపూరావును కూడా తప్పిస్తారని ప్రచారం జరుగుతోంది. కాగా, సీఎం రూపొందించిన జాబితాపై అభివూపాయం తెలపడానికి అందుబాటులో ఉండాలని బొత్సను ఆజాద్ కోరినట్లు తెలిసింది. తాను రూపొందించిన జాబితాపై ఆజాద్‌తో ఆమోద ముద్ర వేయించుకున్న కిరణ్.. సోనియాతో బుధవారం భేటీ అయి.. ఆమె అనుమతి తీసుకుని రాష్ట్రానికి తిరుగు ప్రయాణమవుతారని సమాచారం.

ఎవరి ప్రయోజనాలు వారివే!
జూపల్లి కృష్ణారావు (కొల్లాపూర్), కోమటిడ్డి వెంకట్‌డ్డి (నల్గొండ) తమ మంత్రి పదవులకు రాజీనామాలు చేయడంతో ప్రస్తుతం కేబినెట్‌లో తెలంగాణ ప్రాంతం నుంచి రెండు ఖాళీలు ఉన్నాయి. వీటిని ఇప్పట్లో భర్తీ చేసే అవకాశం లేకుండా పోయింది. మంత్రివర్గంలో ప్రాంతీయ సమతుల్యతను పాటించాలంటే ఈ రెండు ఖాళీలను భర్తీ చేయాల్సి ఉంటుంది. ఈ రెండు ఖాళీలను తాజా విస్తరణలో భర్తీ చేయాలని వరంగల్ జిల్లా భూపాలపల్లి ఎమ్మెల్యే, పీసీసీ అధికార ప్రతినిధి గండ్ర వెంకటరమణాడ్డి మంగళవారం మీడియా సమావేశంలో డిమాండ్ చేశారు.

కాంగ్రెస్‌లో సీనియర్ ఎమ్మెల్సీలు ఉండగా వారిని కాదని పీఆర్పీ ఎమ్మెల్సీ రామచంవూదయ్యకు మంత్రిపదవి ఎలా ఇస్తారని అధికార పార్టీకి చెందిన తెలంగాణ ఖాళీలు భర్తీ చేయాలనుకుంటే.. ఎమ్మెల్యేలు ఉత్తంకుమార్‌డ్డి, దామోదర్‌డ్డి, గండ్ర వెంకటరమణాడ్డి, మల్లు భట్టి విక్రమార్క్‌లకు దక్కవచ్చని పార్టీ వర్గాలు విశ్లేషిస్తున్నాయి. మంత్రి శంకపూరావును తొలగించాల్సి వస్తే ఆయన స్థానంలో అదే సామాజిక వర్గానికి చెందిన డిప్యూటీ స్పీకర్ మల్లు భట్టి విక్రమార్కకు మంత్రిపదవి ఖాయమంటున్నారు. ఎమ్మెల్సీల విషయానికి వస్తే డీ శ్రీనివాస్, పాలడుగు వెంకవూటావు, మహ్మద్ జానీ, రుద్రరాజు పద్మరాజు, ఇంద్రసేన్‌డ్డి, జగదీశ్వర్‌డ్డి, భూపాల్‌డ్డి, భానువూపసాద్ మంత్రిపదవుల కోసం గట్టి ప్రయత్నాలు చేస్తున్నట్లు సమాచారం. వీరిలో పాలడుగు, పద్మరాజు ఇప్పటికే ఢిల్లీ చేరుకున్నారు. వీరితో పాటు మంత్రులు ఆనం రామనారాయణడ్డి, శైలజానాథ్, ఏరాసు ప్రతాప్‌డ్డి, టీజీ వెంక మల్లు భట్టివిక్షికమార్క ప్రభుత్వ విప్ కొండ్రు మురళీ మోహన్ ఢిల్లీ వెళ్ళారు.

తెలంగాణ ఉద్యమ వాతావరణం కొంత చల్లబడటంతో పాటు రాష్ట్రంలో బడుగు, బలహీన వర్గాలు, యువతకు అనేక పథకాలు, కార్యక్షికమాలు పెద్ద ఎత్తున అమలు జరుగుతున్నందున ఇదంతా తన గొప్పతనంగా కిరణ్ చెప్పుకుంటున్నారు. వీటిని చూపి అధిష్ఠానం వద్ద మార్కులు కొట్టేయడానికి ప్రయత్నిస్తున్న కిరణ్.. మొత్తంగా ప్రభుత్వంలో తన పట్టుపెంచుకునేందుకు పావులు కదిపారని సమాచారం. తనకు అడ్డంకిగా ఉన్న మంత్రులు బొత్స, శంకపూరావు, డీఎల్ వంటి సీనియర్లను కూడా కేబినెట్ నుంచి తొలగించుకోవాలని కిరణ్ ఆరాట పడుతున్నారని తెలుస్తోంది. అయితే కిరణ్ ఆలోచనలను ముందే పసిగట్టిన బొత్స తదితరులు కిరణ్‌కు వ్యతిరేకంగా అధిష్ఠానానికి సవివరంగా నివేదికలు పంపినట్లు సమాచారం.

పథకాల్లో డొల్లతనాన్ని వారు ఆ నివేదికలో పొందుపర్చారని తెలిసింది.మంత్రివర్గంలోకి రామచంవూదయ్యను తీసుకోవడంపై సీఎం సుముఖంగా లేరని పార్టీ వర్గాల్లో వినిపిస్తోంది. మంగళవారం తన క్యాంపు కార్యాలయంలో పీఆర్పీ ఎమ్మెల్యేలు వంగా గీత, బండారు సత్యానందరావు తదితరులతో భేటీ కావడం పీఆర్పీ వర్గాల్లో కలకలం రేపింది. పీఆర్పీ నేతల్లో చీలికి తెచ్చేందుకు సీఎం వ్యూహాత్మకంగా పావులు కదుపుతున్నట్లు కూడా పార్టీలో గుసగుసలు వినిపిస్తున్నాయి.

మంత్రుల శాఖల మార్పులు ఉంటాయని ప్రచారం జరుగుతుండడంతో మంత్రులు ఆర్ వెంకట్‌డ్డి, ఏరాసు ప్రతాప్‌డ్డి, సబితా ఇంద్రాడ్డి, పితాని సత్యనారాయణ, వట్టి వసంతకుమార్, పార్ధసారధి, మహిధర్‌డ్డి, రఘువీరాడ్డి, పీ విశ్వరూప్, ఎమ్మెల్యే గండ్ర వెంకటరమణాడ్డి పలువురు ఎమ్మెల్సీలు క్యాంపు కార్యాలయానికి వచ్చి సీఎంతో వేర్వేరుగా భేటీ అయ్యారు. పులి ఉప ఎన్నిక సందర్భంగా మంత్రిపదవికి రాజీనామా చేసిన వైఎస్ వివేకానందడ్డి కూడా కిరణ్‌ను కలిశారు.

హస్తినకు ఆశావహుల క్యూ
మంత్రి వర్గంలో భారీ మార్పులకు ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీకారం చుట్టారన్న వార్తలతో రాష్ట్రానికి చెందిన పలువురు కాంగ్రెస్ నాయకులు, మంత్రులు, ఆశావహులు హస్తినబాట పట్టారు. మంత్రులు ఏరాసు, శైలాజానాథ్, చీఫ్ విప్ కొండ్రు మురళి, డిప్యూటీ స్పీక్ మల్లు, ఎమ్మెల్యేలు గండ్ర, ముత్యండ్డి, మస్తాన్‌వలీ తదితరులు తమ ప్రయత్నాలను ముమ్మరం చేశారు. పునర్వ్యవస్థీకరణపై నిర్ణయం జరుగుతుందన్న వార్తలతో అసంతృప్తులు రగులుతాయన్న ఆందోళన కూడా వ్యక్తమవుతోంది. అందరూ అధిష్ఠానం నిర్ణయానికి కట్టుబడి ఉండాలని ఈ నేపథ్యంలోనే మంత్రులు రాష్ట్ర నేతలను కోరుతున్నారు.

మా సంగతేంటి?
ఎమ్మెల్సీ కోటా నుండి రామచంవూదయ్యకు మంత్రి వర్గంలో స్థానం దాదాపు ఖరారు కావడంతో పలువురు కాంగ్రెస్ ఎమ్మెల్సీలు అధిష్ఠాన తీరును తప్పుబడుతున్నారు. తాము మంత్రి పదవి అడిగినప్పుడు ఎమ్మెల్సీలకు అవకాశం లేదన్న పార్టీ పెద్దలు ఇప్పుడు ఏ రకంగా రామచంవూదయ్యకు పదవి కట్టబెడతారంటూ ప్రశ్నిస్తున్నారు. ఎమ్మెల్సీలకు అవకాశం ఇవ్వదలుచుకుంటే పార్టీకి సుదీర్ఘ కాలం సేవ చేసిన తనకివ్వాలని పాలడుగు కోరుతున్నారు. ఇదే విషయంపై ఆజాద్‌తోపాటు పార్టీ కోర్‌కమిటీ సభ్యులనూ ఆయన కలవనున్నారు. ఎమ్మెల్సీలు బాషా, పద్మరాజు, రంగాడ్డి తదితరులు కూడా ఇదే వాదనతో ఢిల్లీ పెద్దలను కలువనున్నారు.

World conference of Urdu Editors, organised by Siasat

Hyderabad, December 15: (Siasat News) Urdu Journalism has created an impact on society at Universal level. In order to review the ups and downs and the challenges faced by Urdu journalism, an international conference of Urdu editors is being organized by Siasat. 

The conference will suggest ways and means to develop Urdu journalism. An attempt will be made to provide a common platform for exchange of ideas. 

Allama Eejaz Farukh told the news conference that Vice President of India Mr. Mohammed Hamid Ansari will inaugurate the conference and Governor and Chief Minister will be guests of honour. 

Three seminars will be organized during the conference. Prof. Rahmath Yousuf Zai is the convener of the seminars. Mr. Kuldeep Nayyar and Mr. Mahmood Sham (Pakistan) will participate

‘ప్రీపెయిడ్ ఆటోలు’ వచ్చేశాయ్!

హైదరాబాద్, నవంబర్ 24 (): సికింవూదాబాద్ రైల్వేస్టేషన్ నుంచి ప్రయోగాత్మకంగా ప్రీపెయిడ్ ఆటోలను గురువారం నుంచి ప్రారంభించారు. రవాణాశాఖ మంత్రి బొత్స సత్యనారాయణ ప్రీపెయిడ్ ఆటో బూత్‌ను ప్రారంభించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ ప్రీపెయిడ్ ఆటోలతో ప్రయాణికులకు రక్షణ ఉంటుందన్నారు. నగర పోలీస్8 కమిషనర్ ఎకే ఖాన్ మాట్లాడుతూ 1989, 1990లలో ప్రీపెయిడ్ ఆటోలను ప్రారంభించినప్పటికీ వివిధ కారణాలతో సక్సెస్8 కాలేదని గుర్తు చేశారు. సికింవూదాబాద్ నుంచి ప్రవేశపెడుతున్న ఈ ప్రీపెయిడ్ ఆటోలకు మొదటి 3 కిలోమీటర్ల వరకు రూ.30, రాత్రి వేళలో రూ.40గా నిర్ణయించారు

హైదరాబాద్: రాష్ట్రంలో మెడిసిన్‌కు ప్రిపేర్ అయ్యే విద్యార్థులకు ఊరట లభించింది. జాతీయ వైద్య ప్రవేశ పరీక్ష నుంచి రాష్ట్రానికి రెండేళ్ల మినహాయింపును ఇస్తూ సీఎం కార్యాలయానికి కేంద్రం నుంచి సమాచారం వచ్చింది.

In the guise of Burqa shameless acts at public places

 Hyderabad, October 26: ‘Burqa” and ‘Hijab’ are the two veils which act like shields for the honour and chastity of Muslim girls. These things enhance the sanctity and decorum to these girls. Narrow-minded persons have spread venom against ‘Burqa’ but the famous neo-Muslim English writer Surayya (formerly Kamala Das) after taking refuge in Islam, in her first interview strongly pleaded for wearing ‘Burqa’ as it saves the Muslim women from the evil eyes of men and it acts like a bullet proof jacket. 

It is very regrettable that our Muslim girls are spoiling the sanctity of ‘Burqa’ and they are indulging in shameless activities in public places like parks, gardens etc. One such convenient place is the Seven Tombs area of Golconda Fort. This area has become a place of excursion and entertainment. The ‘Burqa’ clad. 

Muslim girls have made it a center for shameless and unlawful activities. College girls come here with their boy friends and indulge in immoral activities hiding themselves behind some graves. Some girls take refuge in the cellars of the tombs where no one sees them. They think that no one will watch their activities. 

We met some Muslim youths who come here and distribute Islamic literature. They try to dissuade them from indulging in such immoral acts. Out of the girls who come here 90% of them are non-Muslims. 

These non-Muslim girl use ‘Burqa’ to hide their identity and thus bring disrepute to the Muslim community. Very few people know that the face hidden in the ‘Burqa’ is that of a non-Muslim girl. The security guards told us that in the beginning, they thought that they are Muslim girls but when they read their names on their books it was revealed that they are not Muslims. 

There is no one to stop these girls to involve in such immoral acts. It is a challenge for the religious leaders to persuade our young boys and girls to refrain from such activities.
