Telangana agitation gaining momentum again.

The hunger strike launched by the Osmania University Students Joint Action Committee (OUJAC) members in the Cherlapally central prison entered the fourth day today even as the protests demanding the release of the arrested student leaders started gaining momentum on the OU campus. The agitation is likely to be spread across the region.

The condition of four of the fasting students in the jail has deteriorated and they have been shifted to the Osmania general hospital. “Four of the fasting students started vomiting and they have been shifted to the Osmania hospital for treatment. The condition of the others is normal,” Cherlapally prison superintendent G Jayawardhan said. Nine OU students, including OUJAC leaders D Rajaram Yadav, B Suman and Jaleel, have been on an indefinite fast for the past three days demanding withdrawal of cases against the students who took part in the Telangana agitation.

Meanwhile, four OUJAC students sat on a relay hunger strike on the campus today demanding release of their fellow students from the jail. Leaders of Telangana NGOs’ unions and some OU professors visited the camp.

With no surprises, none of the Andhra Media have shown even a scrolling of it !

A sea of humanity converges at Telangana Maha Garjana

A sea of humanity descended on Warangal for a public meeting of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti (TRS), which announced the roadmap for achieving a separate state of Telangana.

The town came to a standstill as all roads leading to the venue were choked with vehicles. There was a 10-km long traffic jam on the roads connecting Warangal to neighbouring districts and several TRS leaders were among those stranded.

More than 2.5 million people gathered at the 1,000-acre open ground for the massive public meeting to mark the completion of one year since the central government’s statement on the formation of a separate Telangana.

Said to be the first of its kind in the country, people from all 10 districts of Telangana had turned up for the meeting.

It was a massive show of strength by the TRS ahead of the Srikrishna Committee’s report to the central government on the demand for a separate Telangana state.

TRS chief K. Chandrasekhara Rao said that the meeting is an ultimatum to the central government to form a separate Telangana.

Swami Agnivesh, TRS ideologue Jayashankar, Telangana Joint Action Committee chairman M. Kodandaram, Vijayashanti, Jamaat-e-Islami chief of Andhra Pradesh and Orissa unit Malik Motassim Khan, leaders of students, trade unions and women’s organisations were among the prominent speakers.

తెలంగాణ రావాలంటే ... వరంగల్‌ పోవాలె

వరంగల్‌, మేజర్‌న్యూస్‌ప్రతినిధి: తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సమితి నిర్వహించ తలపెట్టిన తెలంగాణ మహాగర్జన మహాసభ గురువారం హన్మకొండలోని ప్రకాశ్‌రెడ్డి పేట లో నిర్వహించేందుకు పార్టీ శ్రేణులు ఏర్పాట్లు పూర్తి చేసింది. వేయి ఎకరాల్లో సభ నిర్వ హించేందుకు పార్టీ నాయకులు సిద్దం చేశారు. తెలంగాణ పది జిల్లాలనుండి సుమారు 30 లక్షల మంది హాజరవుతారని భావిస్తు న్నారు. గత డిసెంబర్‌ 9న కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర ఏర్పాటుకు అనుకూలంగా ప్రకటన చేసి సంవ త్సరం గడిచిన సంధర్బంగా నిర్వహించ తలపెట్టిన సభ ఈనెల 9 వ తేదీకి ముందు కురిసిన వర్షాలవల్ల 16వ తేదీకి వాయిదా వేశారు. నెల రోజులపాటు వేయి ఎకరాల స్దలాన్ని శుభ్రం చేయించిన తెరాస శ్రేణులు, విద్యుత్‌ దీపాలను పెద్ద ఎత్తున ఏర్పాటు చేయించారు.

అతిపెద్ద వేదికను ఏర్పాటు చేసి, 200 మంది అతిధులు కూర్చు నేందుకు వీలుగా వేదికను తీర్చిదిద్దారు. సభాప్రాంగణం నుండి హన్మకొండ చౌరస్తా వరకు (సుమారు 5 కిలోమీటర్లు) రోడ్లకు ఇరువైపులా మైకులు అమర్చారు. సభాప్రాంగణం చుట్టూ కెసిఆర్‌, తెలంగాణ తల్లీ కటౌట్లను పెద్దఎత్తున ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. మూడువేల మంది కార్యకర్తలను శిక్షణ ఇచ్చి వలంటీర్లుగా విధులు నిర్వహించేందుకు చర్యలు చేపట్టారు. ప్రాంగణం చు ట్టూ వంద మెడికల్‌ క్యాంపులు ఏర్పాటు చేసి, అవసర మైన మేరకు వైద్య సేవలు అందించేందుకు ఏర్పాట్లు చేశారు. ప్రత్యేకంగా పార్కింగ్‌ స్థలాలను ఏర్పాటు చేశా రు. నగరాన్ని గులాబీ జెండాలతో, బ్యానర్లతో అలంకరించారు.

ఇప్పటికే గులాబీమయమైన నగరం చుట్టూ సభాప్రాంగణానికి సమీపంలో బెలూన్లు ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. మహాగర్జనకు 2 అడిషనల్‌ ఎస్పీలు,11 మంది డిఎస్పీలు, 31 మంది సిఐలు, 194 మందిఎసై్సలు, 192 ఎసై్సలు, 984 కానిస్టేబుళ్ళు, 850 మంది డిస్ట్రిక్‌ గార్డ్స్‌, 10 యూనిట్ల ఎపిఎస్‌పి, 5 యూనిట్ల ఎఆర్‌, 5 డాగ్‌ స్వ్యాడ్‌ టీంలు బందోబస్తు చర్య కోసం ఏర్పాటు చేసినట్లు అర్బన్‌ ఎస్పి ప్రభాకరరావు తెలిపారు. వరం గల్‌లో గురువారం జరిగే సభ కనీవినీ ఎరుగని రీతిలో ఉంటుందని, ఢిల్లీ పీఠాన్ని కదిలించేందుకు తెలంగాణ ప్రజలు వినిపించే ప్రత్యేక రాష్ట్ర నినాదంగానే ఉంటుందని పొలిట్‌బ్యూరో సభ్యుడు వినోద్‌కుమార్‌, జిల్లా అధ్య క్షుడు పెద్ది సుదర్శన్‌రెడ్డి, వరంగల్‌ పశ్చిమ ఎమ్మెల్యే దాస్యం వినయభాస్కర్‌ తెలిపారు. తెలంగాణ ప్రజల మనోభావాలకు అద్దంపట్టే రీతిలో సభ జరుగు తుందని అన్నారు. స్వామి అగ్నివేశ్‌ మహాగర్జనకు ముఖ్య అతిధి గా హాజరవుతారని, పార్టీ అధినేత చంద్రశేఖర్‌ రావుతో పాటు పలు జిల్లాలకు చెందిన ముఖ్యనేతలు పాల్గొని ప్రసంగిస్తారని చెప్పారు. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర ఏర్పాటు కోసం చివరి అవకాశంగా కాంగ్రెస్‌ పార్టీ అధి ష్టానానికి హెచ్చరిక జారీచేసే ఈ గర్జన నిలిచిపోతుందన్నారు.

Partial withdrawl of cases pleases none

The issue of withdrawal of criminal cases registered against students and youth during the separate Telangana and Samaikyandhra agitations rocked the State Assembly for the third consecutive day today. When the deputy speaker decided to take up the question hour, the opposition objected and insisted on a statement by the government on students cases and farmers plight. Manohar then declared that all the questions listed for the day were deemed to have been answered.

Home minister P Sabita Reddy then made a statement announcing withdrawal of simple cases which number 565 and involving 2,436 persons against a total number of 1,667 cases involving 8,047 persons registered between December 2009 and September 2010.

As for the serious cases, Sabita said, the government would examine them over a period of time.

Not satisfied with the government’s announcement of withdrawal of cases of only simple offences and demanding withdrawal of all cases, the TRS obstructed the proceedings forcing the in-charge speaker, who adjourned the House thrice earlier in the day, to adjourn it till tomorrow.

తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర సమితి 16న వరంగల్‌లో నిర్వహించే 'మహాగర్జన'కు రంగం సిద్ధమైంది. సభ హంగులు తుది దశకు వచ్చాయి. బుధవారం సాయంత్రం నాటికి ఏర్పాట్లు మొత్తం పూర్తి కానున్నాయి. డిసెంబర్ 9న జరగాల్సిన గర్జన ప్రతికూల వాతావరణంతో 16కు వాయిదా పడిన సంగతి విదితమే. తెలంగాణలోని పది జిల్లాల నుంచి 25లక్షల మంది జనం సభకు హాజరవుతారన్నది టీఆర్ఎస్ అంచనా. ఈ మేరకు ఏర్పాట్లు చేస్తున్నారు. 500 ఎకరాల సభాస్థలిలో గర్జన నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు. మరో 500 ఎకరాలను పార్కింగ్‌కు కేటాయించారు. హన్మకొండ, కాజీపేట, వరంగల్‌ల నుంచి సభాస్థలికి చేరుకోవడానికి మొత్తం ఎనిమిది రహదారులను ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.

జిల్లాల వారిగా పార్కింగ్ జోన్లు:
పది జిల్లాల నుంచి భారీగా వాహనాలు వస్తుండడంతో జిల్లాల వారిగా పార్కింగ్ జోన్లను కేటాయించారు. అంతేకాకుండా టూ, త్రీ వీలర్, లారీలు, బస్సులు ఇలా కేటగిరీ వారిగా పార్కింగ్ ఏర్పాట్లు చేశారు. వాహనాల రాకపోకల సమయంలో ఎలాంటి ఇబ్బందులు తలెత్తకుండా మొరంతో రహదారులు ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.

కమిటీ ఏర్పాటు:
సభ నిర్వహణ కోసం వివిధ విభాగాల్లో కమిటీలను ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. స్టేజి కమిటీ, లైటింగ్, ట్రాఫిక్ క్లియరెన్స్, టౌన్ డెకరేషన్, శానిటేషన్, వైద్య సదుపాయాలు, నీటి వసతి తదితర కమిటీలను ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. జిల్లా అధ్యక్షులు పెద్ది సుదర్శన్‌రెడ్డి, పొలిట్‌బ్యూరో సభ్యులు లింగంపల్లి కిషన్‌రావు, మీడియా ఇన్‌ఛార్జి గుడిమల్ల రవికుమార్, టీజీఏ రాష్ట్ర అధ్యక్షుడు మర్రి యాదవరెడ్డి, మేడిపల్లి శోభన్‌కుమార్, ఇండ్ల నాగేశ్వర్‌రావు తదితరులు పనులను పర్యవేక్షిస్తున్నారు.

హైటెక్ హంగులు:
5 మహాగర్జనకు టీఆర్ఎస్ హైటెక్ హంగులను సమకూరుస్తోంది. సభాస్థలిలో 12 ఎల్రక్టానిక్ ్రస్కీన్‌లను ఏర్పాటు చేస్తోంది. దాదాపుగా 70 ఎంఎం సినిమా తెరను తలపించే ్రస్కీన్‌లు సిద్ధమవుతున్నాయి. వాకీటాకీలతో సమాచార వ్యవస్థను ఏర్పాటు చేసుకున్నారు.

విశాలమైన స్టేజీ:
దాదాపు 200 మందికి పైగా కూర్చునేలా విశాలమైన స్టేజీని నిర్మించారు. పదిన్నర అడుగుల ఎత్తు, 40 అడుగుల వెడల్పు, 60 అడుగుల పొడవుతో స్టేజీని ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. కళాకారుల కోసం పక్కనే 20 అడుగుల పొడవు, 40 అడుగుల వెడల్పుతో స్టేజీని నిర్మించారు. సభాస్థలికి చేరుకునేందుకు ఎనిమిది చిన్న రహదారులను ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. వీటికి అమరుల పేర్లతో మార్గ్‌లని నామకరణం చేశారు.

నాలుగు వెడల్పు రోడ్లను ఏర్పాటు చేశారు. 2వేల మంది వాలంటీర్లు ఇండ్ల నాగేశ్వర్‌రావు ఆధ్వర్యంలో విధులను నిర్వహించనున్నారు. 100 వైద్య శిబిరాలను డాక్టర్ రామగళ్ల పరమేశ్వర్ ఆధ్వర్యంలోని కమిటీ పర్యవేక్షించనుంది. 120 వాటర్ ట్యాంకులు, 8 బోర్లతో తాగునీటి వసతిని కల్పిస్తున్నారు.

జేఎన్ఎస్‌లో హెలీప్యాడ్:
టీఆర్ఎస్ అధినేత కేసీఆర్‌తో పాటు గర్జనకు ముఖ్య అతిథులుగా హాజరుకానున్న పీఎ సంగ్మా, స్వామి అగ్నివేశ్‌లు హెలీకాప్టర్‌లో హన్మకొండలోని జవహర్‌లాల్ నెహ్రూ స్టేడియంకు చేరుకుంటారు. అక్కడినుంచి సభా ప్రాంగణానికి కారులో వస్తారు.

హైదరాబాద్‌, : తెలంగాణకు ద్రోహం చేసే నాయకులకు రాజకీయ భవిష్యత్తు లేకుండా చేయాలని తెలంగాణ ప్రజాఫ్రంట్‌ పిలుపునిచ్చింది. పార్లమెంటులో బిల్లు పెట్టడం కోసం కేంద్రంపై ఒత్తిడి పెంచేందుకు తెలంగాణ ప్రజాప్రతినిధులకు సామాజిక, ఆర్థిక, రాజకీయ సహాయ నిరా కరణ చేసేందుకు ప్రజలు సన్నద్ధం కావాలని తెలంగాణ ప్రజా ఫ్రంట్‌ చైర్మన్‌ గద్దర్‌ విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు. తెలంగాణ రాష్ట్ర ఏర్పాటుకు ప్రక్రియ ప్రారంభిస్తున్నట్లు కేంద్ర ప్రభుత్వం డిసెంబర్‌ 9న చేసిన ప్రకటనకు సంవత్సరం పూర్తయిన సందర్భంగా గురువారం ఎన్టీఆర్‌ స్టేడియంలో టీపీఎఫ్‌ భారీ బహిరంగ సభ నిర్వహించింది. సభ ప్రారంభించే ముందు తెలంగాణ ఉద్య మంలో అసువులు బాసిన అమరవీరులకు నివాళులర్పించారు. డిసెంబర్‌ తెలంగాణ తర్వాత పూర్తిగా సహాయ నిరాకరణ ఉంటుందని గద్దర్‌ తెలిపారు.

24 నుండి జనవరి 4వ తేదీ వరకు ఎంపీలపై ఒత్తిడి పెంచటం. 5న రాజకీయ పార్టీల కార్యాయాల ముందు నిరసన కార్యక్రమాలు. జనవరి 26న ఛలో హైదరాబాద్‌కి పిలుపునిచ్చారు. ఈ సమావేశంలో తెలంగాణ ప్రజాఫ్రంట్‌ ఉపాధ్యక్షులు వేదకు మార్‌, రత్నమాల, ఆకుల భూమయ్య, కార్యదర్శులు వీరారెడ్డి, చిక్కుడు ప్రభాకర్‌, తెలంగాణ జర్నలిస్టు ఫోరం కన్వీనర్‌ అల్లం నారాయణ, తెలంగాణ ఉద్యోగుల సంఘం అధ్యక్షులు స్వామి గౌడ్‌, శ్రీనివాస్‌గౌడ్‌, తెలంగాణ దూం దాం కళాకారుడు రస మయి బాలకిషన్‌, కృష్ణ తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు.
